Amazon Suffered Data Breach – Customers Name & Email Addresses Exposed

Amazon revealed that it suffered a Data breach before the Black Friday and leaks customers names and Email address.

The e-commerce giant sent a message to its customers who had received an email purporting to come from the company including the warning which says that their email addresses and names had been leaked.

Many of the registered users received the warning email from Amazon but the customer didn’t feel its NOT a genuine mail and originally comes from Amazon.

Later Amazon’s UK press office acknowledged that the email was genuine, saying only: “We have fixed the issue and informed customers who may have been impacted,” according to Register.

The Email statement reads,  “We’re contacting you to let you know that our website inadvertently disclosed your name and email address due to a technical error.

Amazon claims that it data breach incidents learned due to “technical error” and they said We have fixed the issue and informed customers who may have been impacted.

Also, the company said, This is not a result of anything you have done, and there is no need for you to change your password or take any other action.

Amazon didn’t disclose any technical details for the data breach incidents and also they didn’t revealed how many of the customers was affected due to this Data breach.
