An Operator of DDoS-as-a Service (Illegal Booter Services) pleads guilty in
North Carolina count for his massive operations of DDoS attack against 1.3 million targets.
Sergiy P. Usatyuk, illegal DDoS service operator from Orland Park arrested by FBI for supporting this illegal services with his co-conspirator to develop, control and operate a number of booter services and booter-related websites from around August 2015.
He operate this service with an intention to take down the target victims network and also this service launched millions of DDoS attacks that disrupted the internet connections of targeted victim computers and slowdown the target websites.
An illegal booter service is one of the publically available services where anyone can subscribe to the service by spending a small fee or no fee at all to launch the DDoS attacks that make overwhelm the victim’s network.
“Over the past five years, booter and stresser services have grown as an increasingly prevalent class of DDoS attack tools. Booter-based DDoS attack tools offer a low barrier to entry for users looking to engage in cybercrime”
In order to launch the DDoS attack, cybercriminals only need to have a
web browser and online payment tool, the attack instruction will be provided after the subscribers made the payment.
Sergiy have been operated various illegal services including ExoStress.in, (“ExoStresser”), QuezStresser.com, Betabooter.com (“Betabooter”), Databooter.com, Instabooter.com, Polystress.com, and Zstress.net.
According to Depart of justice “ExoStresser advertised on its website (exostress.in) that its booter service alone had launched 1,367,610 DDoS attacks, and caused targeted victim computer systems to suffer 109,186.4 hours of network downtime. “
During this Period of attack, Usatyuk and a co-conspirator gained in excess of $550,000 as a subscription charges and selling the ads for other booter services.
Assistant Attorney General Benczkowski said, “For over two years, Sergiy Usatyuk conspired to launch millions of DDoS attacks that paralyzed the computer systems of U.S. organizations for more than 100,000 hours,”
