How to Improve Your Instagram Growth Strategy These Days

Instagram is now the most popular social media and networking site in the world. The site is popular with the young generation, especially those between the age of 15 to 35 years. It is also more popular with the female gender.

Currently, Instagram has more than a billion subscribers and adding more every other day. more than 800 million of these login to their accounts at least once in a month, and about 500 million check their accounts every day. More than 100 million pictures and videos are posted on this platform on a daily basis. With such massive clout, it would be a challenge to have your content stand out and draw more followers to your page. And since followers and followers’ engagement are the key aspects of success on this platform, we have researched and come up with working strategies on how to improve your Instagram growth strategy.

Correct Use of Hashtags

Instagram has really popularized the use of hashtags. Before Instagram, this feature wasn’t that much popular. But with the need for Instagram users to win for followers to their pages and enhance their engagement, the feature is now the most popular. However, most people are still not conversant with the proper use of hashtags. They simply lump some tags with their posts expecting to draw an audience and end up with minimal success if any.

Instagram allows users up to a maximum of 30 hashtags. You do not have to use all of them. Identify those that resonate with your content, then select the best out of those you identify. You need just about 10 at most to draw people to your content.

Where you insert these tags is also important. Research shows that having the tags on your comment section rather than including them with your caption is more effective. The aim is to enable other users to find your content.

Identify Targeted Users and Follow Them

When it comes to improving your Instagram growth strategy, you will need to follow the right people. Instagram allows you to follow like 50 people in an hour, but following all these without a purpose will take you nowhere. First, start by identifying accounts that cater to the same audience as you. Identify those that have not only a large following but also an engaging one. Follow and tag these to your posts and interact with them. Consider using an auto liker tool to save time. You can also follow and interact with their followers.

You will have exposed your content to the right audience. Don’t focus on getting just an audience, focus on getting followers that will like, share, and comment on your content.

Participate in Popular or Trending Conversations

Any time there is a trending topic is a time for you to grow your following. If you are active at the right time, you going to find trending topics that can have you interacting with a lot of new people. Apart from contributing to the conversations, try and be witty with your posts at this time. Curate your content in a manner that resonates with the trending topic. The more you participate in such topics, the more you expose your page out there and the newer people you get to meet.

Keep Engaging

Do not just post content and watch as your existing followers like and comment on the pictures. Be an active participant. Share your thoughts and opinions, respond to questions and direct messages, comment on other people’s post and also share their content. There is a strategy in which you reshare and tag the original owner of the content. These activities show others that you are not just a passive person waiting for likes. People tend to engage those who respond positively and consistently. If you simply sit back, your content will fizzle out in the massive sea of content shared daily.

Have a Schedule

Even as you post pictures, stories, and videos, it is very important that you have a schedule. Having a schedule creates anticipation and has more people participating in your activities rather than just posting randomly.

You can decide to be posting five images in a day at different times. This ensures that you always remain relevant irrespective of the time of the day as more and more posts come in. As for stories, try and post as many as 10 per day distributed across the day’s 24 hours. Users will at every one moment interact with your stories throughout the day.

Final Thoughts

Instagram live videos work magic if you want to improve your growth strategy and enhance your engagement. Live videos are usually pinned on the front of users feeds such that they can’t miss to see them. You can schedule at least one video every day at a specific time when your audience is most active on Instagram. Having the video consistently at a specific time creates expectation and draws more viewers as you keep having it. Just make sure you have a plan and try to make it work. You can adjust based on the reaction and success you get with your strategy.
