Metasploit Framework 5.0 Released With New Evasion Modules, Database and Languages Support

Metasploit 5.0 released with new evasion module, libraries, database, automation APIs, libraries and extended language support.

Metasploit is the most widely used penetration testing framework and it has more than 1500+ modules that deliver functionalities covering every phase of a penetration test, making the life of a penetration tester comparatively easier.

The new version of metasploit adds RESTful service along with the existing Postgresql database which allows metasploit consoles to interact with external tools and it also adds a common web service framework to interact with databse and automation APIs.

Evasion Modules and Exploitation – Metasploit 5.0

Metasploit Framework 5.0 comes with new evasion modules type that allows users to develop their own evasion tools, Metsaploit team has added libraries that developers can utilize to add new on-the-fly mutations to payloads

The most awaited multiple exploit module has been added, with the previous version we can run a scanner against a targeted a subnet or network range, but the exploit module limited to single target.

Starting from Metasploit 5.0, you can target multiple hosts in the same way by setting RHOSTS.

Other noticable improvements such as speed improvements in searching for modules and new nutshell features that allows users to interact with background sessions to pload/download files, or even run resource scripts.

The new version of metasploit includes different module languages: Go, Python, and Ruby and expands the capability to improve the speed and perfomance.
