Robocalling is already an Issue for Americans. AI is making it Worse

Robotic calls are increasingly perceived by many American citizens as a nuisance, as they receive hundreds of automated calls that they do not want to receive. However, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in robot communication operations has exacerbated this problem, making fraud more sophisticated and specific. Now, the only calls you can trust are those initiated by humans. However, according to the reports, 25% of all non-contact calls are recorded as spam, which means they are fraudulent or just a nuisance.

According to a survey on AI and cybersecurity from digital security company McAfee, 52% of Americans share their speech online, providing fraudsters with the primary component for generating a digitally created version of their voice to victimize others they know.
