Tor Browser 8.5.1 released for Windows, Linux and Mac and Android. It is the first bug fix release in the 8.5 series. The new version aims at fixing regressions and provides minor improvements related to 8.5 release.
Tor browser brings anonymity for users and makes sure to gain a good vary of accessibility on the internet with extreme privacy.
With the new release, Tor developers have disabled WebGL readPixel() fingerprinting vector, which can be used to determine the Tor web browser identity.
“We disable the WebGL readPixel() fingerprinting vector, realizing, though, that we need a more holistic approach when trying to deal with the potential fingerprinting WebGL comes with.”
Tor browser is known to anonymize the web traffic and to protect user identity online; it encrypts your data packets and routes through many relays before reaching the destination server.
Tor Browser 8.5 released last month, which is the first release for Android devices and it is available from play store.
