CrowdStrike today announced the general availability of Falcon® Privileged Access, a breakthrough module in its Falcon® Identity Protection suite, aimed at redefining identity security for modern organizations.

This launch positions CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon platform as the only solution capable of securing the entire identity attack lifecycle—from initial compromise to privilege escalation and lateral movement—across both on-premises and cloud environments.

The new Falcon Privileged Access module arrives alongside major upgrades for Charlotte AI Agentic Detection Triage and Falcon® Next-Gen SIEM, bringing advanced automation to combat identity-based attacks.

Together, these innovations empower security teams to move beyond traditional, siloed tools and achieve unified protection across Active Directory, cloud identity providers, and SaaS platforms—all powered by AI.

“Identity is under relentless attack, and adversaries are going straight for the keys to the kingdom—privileged access,” said Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike.

“With Falcon Privileged Access, the Falcon platform eliminates standing privileges and enables real-time, risk-aware access decisions.

This sets a new standard for end-to-end identity security, protecting customers against persistent identity-based threats.”

Recent data shows that 79% of initial access attacks are malware-free, with adversaries leveraging stolen or abused identities to infiltrate organizations undetected.

Threat groups such as SCATTERED SPIDER exploit social engineering by manipulating IT help desks, while others like FAMOUS CHOLLIMA plant malicious insiders who escalate privileges by registering new MFA devices and using remote access tools.

Falcon Privileged Access responds to these challenges by using real-time signals from devices, intelligence on evolving threats, and AI trained on trillions of security events.

The platform dynamically grants, blocks, or revokes privileges based on live user and device behavior, ensuring just-in-time access and closing the gaps that attackers exploit.

Key Features and Benefits:

  • Just-in-Time Privileged Access: Users are granted elevated permissions only when needed, based on dynamic risk assessment. Access is instantly revoked if the risk profile changes.
  • Agentic Detection Triage: Powered by Charlotte AI, this feature autonomously triages identity-based threat detections with over 98% accuracy, ensuring critical threats are prioritized without delay.
  • Unified Security and Automation: Seamless integration with Falcon Next-Gen SIEM and Falcon Fusion SOAR enables real-time threat detection and automated response actions, such as disabling compromised accounts and enforcing multi-factor authentication.

With Falcon Privileged Access, CrowdStrike delivers a comprehensive, AI-driven defense against the increasingly sophisticated landscape of identity-based cyber threats, helping organizations close security gaps and stay ahead of adversaries in today’s hybrid IT environments.
