Microsoft Security Updates – Patches for Multiple RCE Vulnerabilities that Affected Microsoft Office

Microsoft released security updates for Microsoft Office vulnerability, the update covers 14 vulnerability, out of that 9 vulnerabilities are remote code execution vulnerabilities.

The update covers the vulnerabilities in Excel 2016, Office 2016, Excel 2013, Office 2013, Excel 2010, Office 2010, Office Online Server, SharePoint Server 2019, SharePoint Enterprise Server 2013 & 2016, SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010.

Microsoft Office Vulnerability

The remote code execution vulnerabilities fixed by Microsoft are rated as Important, these vulnerabilities allow an attacker to execute the remote code with user context.

CVE-2019-1327 and CVE-2019-1331 are the remote code execution vulnerabilities and other vulnerabilities includes privilege escalation(CVE-2019-1330 & CVE-2019-1329), cross-site-scripting(CVE-2019-1070), spoofing vulnerability(CVE-2019-1328).

Users are recommended to install the updates to keep computers safe if you turn auto-update it will get download and install automatically.
