Microsoft launches Malware Detection Competition with AI to test whether the participants AI malware detection models can accurately predict malware from the infected device.
Since Malware evolution is continuously targeting organization and individuals with sophisticated techniques, Microsoft is challenging the AI community to develop techniques to predict if a machine vulnerable to hit with malware.
In this case, Microsoft will learn from participants to predict a Windows machine’s probability of getting infected by various malware families with different machine properties.
Microsoft announced $25000 cash price for Malware Detection Competition winners and it will be
- 1st Place – $12,000
- 2nd Place – $7,000
- 3rd Place – $3,000
- 4th Place – $2,000
- 5th Place – $1,000
Microsoft will provide the 9.4GB data which is gathered from more than 16 million endpoints by Windows Defender to participants who can use the data to predict whether a particular machine’s configuration will become infected or not.
